Best Jailbreak Tweaks

Hamza HAsnain

Many great jailbreak tweaks were released this week, so yet again we will be showcasing the best ones of the week. More information can be accessed by clicking on the link at the beginning of the description. We hope you enjoy this series and we plan to keep it alive as long as possible.

• SwipeBack is a new Cydia tweak that was developed by Ryan Petrich and it is probably one of my favorite tweaks out there right now. The tweak is free and it does exactly what the name implies. If you are in a setting’s panel and want to get back to the main settings page, just swipe from the left end of the screen to the right and boom, you are back. As of right now you can only get it off of the Ryan Petrich repo:rpetri.ch/repo/

• Aero: With an array of different app switcher alternatives on cydia, it’s tough to find the one which is suitable for you. However, I would be prepared to bet an awful lot that you’ll find something you like within ‘Aero’. It’s pretty much the definitive app switcher, and it looks just stunning. There are an assortment of options, and around 10 different app switch animations, all of which are smooth, effective & ergonomic.
• iSleepWell: With jailbreaking, comes a reasonable amount of pointless or gimmicky tweaks. However occasionally one which has a very decent functionality in it comes along, and iSleepWell is no different. It will activateAirplane mode when the proximity sensor of your phone senses it is flat down on a surface. It will also confirm this by telling you ‘Airplane mode on’ and awaken it when the phone is lifted up with the conformation ‘Phone is active’
• BrightSlide is a very tight little jailbreak tweak which allows the user to set up an activator action & gives access to 4 toggles: flashlight, wifi, airplane mode & bluetooth. All of these toggles work well, and the tweak even gives access to 2 sliders, one which controls the devices brightness and one which modifies the devices volume level.

Top 5 Jailbreak teeks for ios 5 of 2012

Hamza HAsnain

I get a whole host of questions, regarding my favourite jailbreak tweaks. Now, being someone who downloads basically every tweak available and tests each one extensively, I don’t tend to keep them on my device for long. In fact, I remove them as soon as I’ve reviewed them - unless they’re excellent.

These are my pick of the ‘Top 5 Jailbreak Tweaks for iOS 5 of 2012!’ now, this is just my opinion, you may disagree or agree. However, if you haven’t heard of a tweak in this video, you should go and download it.

Best Jailbreak Tweaks !!!!4

Hamza HasnaiN

This week has been a pit sparse on the tweak side, however we have 3 excellent tweaks to show you that have been released this week. Some may be paid, some may be free. More information on all of the separate tweaks can be found by following the links provided.

Fusion - Synchronise social media usage, by allowing posts to 4 social networks via the quick compose for iOS 5.

Stride - Unlock your device using custom gestures & shapes.

SliderWidth - Adjust the width of the lock screen slider for iOS 5/5.0.1 also includes other features such as custom slider text.

Best Jailbreak Tweaks (FastLock, Forecast, SwipeDock)

Hamza HAsnain

FastLock: Allows the user to quickly access certain parts of their phone by simply double tapping the home button twice. You gain the ability to compose a tweet, text, phone someone, send an email and some others. For the price of $0.99, the premise of this tweak is quite nice. More info can be found here.

Forecast: If I had to bet on any jailbreak tweak being implemented into the next iOS version, forecast would be this. It adds a weather widget to your lockscreen, in one of the best looking fashions I’ve seen in a widget. This can’t be really be portrayed in writing, check it yourself via the video above.

SwipeDock: Gives the same ability that ‘DockHide’ presented a couple of weeks ago, incase you missed that particular tweak, it allowed you to hide your dock. SwipeDock is a variant on this, but it actually implements a couple of new features, the most notable of these is a selection of animations that can be used to hide and show the dock. They actually look pretty nice, and you even have the functionality to change the animation duration. More info can be

Top 3 Tweaks now!!!

TomMay 1, 20120

SpinTask - Pin 4 of your favourite apps to a kind of ‘switcher’ available to access via an activator action. Lovely simplicity, but lacking slightly on functionality. Check it out via the video above.

iCleaner - Clean all of the backstreet processes your device has compiled over use in a couple of simple touches on your screen. This will speed up your device as well as save memory. More info can be found here.

LSBrightSlider - LSBrightSlider offers up a very nice way of adjusting the brightness on your iDevice. When you double tapthe home button on your lockscreen, you’ll be presented with an extra slider below your volume slider. This slider will adjust your brightness, and as it’s effectively implemented - this tweak has some really snazziness. More info can be found here.
